Technical capabilities

How we investigate SEO problems

Every engagement follows the same loop. Each finding is collected, confirmed, ranked, fixed and then measured, so nothing rests on a hunch.
  1. Step 1

    Crawl

Collect what search engines see: every URL, status code, directive and link.

Crawler · sitemaps · server logs

  2. Step 2

    Diagnose

Confirm each issue against indexing data and rendered HTML, and separate symptoms from causes.

    Search Console · rendered DOM

  3. Step 3

    Prioritize

Score findings by business impact, effort and risk, then sequence them into a roadmap.

    Impact × effort × risk

  4. Step 4

    Implement

Write developer-ready tickets, review changes on staging and support the release.

    Tickets · staging QA

  5. Step 5

    Measure

Re-crawl, validate fixes and track the indicators agreed at the start.

    Re-crawl · GSC · GA4

Checks we run along the way

Examples use fictional sites and sample data

Index coverage and canonicalization checks

We group duplicate URLs into clusters and confirm that canonicals, internal links, sitemaps and redirects all agree on one preferred version.

Search intent and keyword-to-page mapping

Each query cluster is assigned the page type search results reward, and exactly one URL on your site is responsible for it.

Internal link graph analysis

We model your site as a graph to find orphaned pages, excessive click depth and commercial pages starved of internal links.

Structured data validation

Markup is checked for valid syntax, required properties and, just as important, whether it matches what the page actually shows.

Performance and rendering checks

We compare raw HTML with the rendered DOM and review Core Web Vitals field data by template, not just one homepage test.

Search Console performance analysis

Clicks, impressions and queries are segmented by page group and release date, so changes can be traced to causes.

Why work with us

An SEO partner your developers and finance team can both trust

We combine technical inspection, search research and clear communication, and we're upfront about what SEO can and can't do.
  • Technical depth

We read raw responses, rendered HTML and source templates, not just tool dashboards. That's where root causes are found.

  • Evidence over opinion

Each recommendation shows the affected URLs, how the issue was confirmed and what should change when it's fixed.

  • Prioritized for your business

Work is ranked by its likely effect on leads and revenue, by effort and by risk, so limited developer time goes where it counts.

  • Built to work with developers

Tickets with acceptance criteria, staging reviews and post-release validation, in the tools your team already uses.

  • Honest about uncertainty

We don't promise rankings or AI citations. We tell you what's likely, what's possible and what isn't worth doing.

  • Measured against business goals

Qualified leads, sign-ups and revenue from organic search, reported against a baseline rather than vanity metrics.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about scope, timelines and what to expect. Can't find what you need?

Do you guarantee rankings or AI citations?

No. Google's own guidance on hiring an SEO says “No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google,” and AI-generated answers are likewise controlled by the providers that produce them. We commit to a clear scope, evidence-based recommendations, transparent reporting and an honest assessment of what is and isn't working.

What's the difference between an automated SEO scan and your audit?

An automated scan checks pages against a fixed list of rules and reports every match. Our audit uses that data as input, then adds manual review of templates, search results, analytics and business context, and prioritizes findings by impact and effort.

What is GEO?

Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is the practice of making your business easier for AI-powered search experiences, such as Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT search and Perplexity, to find, understand and cite. It relies on the same foundations as SEO: crawlable pages, clear and verifiable content, and a consistent, credible presence across the web.

How long does SEO take to show results?

It depends on your starting point, competition and how quickly changes ship, so we don't quote a generic timeline. Changes can only take effect after Google recrawls the affected pages, and Google says “Crawling can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.” At the start of an engagement we set dated targets for your site, with leading indicators such as indexing and impressions, so you can see whether the work is on track.

What happens after I submit a request?

We review your website and the problem you described, then reply by email within two business days with initial observations or questions. If it looks like a good fit, we schedule a call to discuss scope. You receive a written proposal before any paid work begins.

How is pricing determined?

Pricing depends on scope: site size, the services involved, data access and whether implementation support is included. After an initial conversation, you receive a written proposal with the scope, deliverables, timeline and price.

Discuss your SEO project

Tell us about your website and what you want organic search to achieve. We'll come back with an honest view of where the opportunities and risks are.

What happens next

  1. We review your site and request

A person on our team looks at your website and the problem you described. You won't receive an automated report.

  2. We reply within two business days

By email, with initial observations, any questions we have, and whether we think we're a good fit.

  3. Scoping call and written proposal

If it makes sense to continue, we schedule a call and send a written scope, timeline and price. Nothing is billed before you approve it.
